Let us introspect. How many times have we killed a smile? How many times have we broken a relationship? How many friends have we stopped speaking to? How many times have we been jealous of our friend who is doing well?
We stop so many things, which we would fancy doing fearing what others might think about us. We never go back to a friend after a quarrel, but wait for him to come back. And he does the same thing. And as the days go by we learn to live without him. We will learn to live with the pain. We are ready for all that but not to let down our Ego once and go approach him.
We stop playing in rain because we think we are not children anymore. We avoid laughing out loud for a joke because it would look uncivilized. We fear approaching the girl we like and tell her our feelings, our love and how much we think of her every waking moment of our lives. Rather, we would keep quiet afraid of our parents, of the risks involved, of the society - until the feeling dies, until the love dies. Then we would complain for the rest of our life for all that has happened with us, never realizing it was we who were responsible!!
Life is too short for all this. Its time we stop living for our fears, for others! Lets live for our dreams, our passion, and our love. This is a line from a poem called ‘Leisure’. I do not recall the poets name now.
’ No time to wait till her lips can, Enrich the smiles that her eyes began!!’
The poet says, he saw the smile in her eyes. But he could not wait till that smile appeared on her lips. If we dont realize the importance of life, we will loose the opportunity to see the smile and realize the beauty of life.
What are we waiting for?? Lets do what we wanted to do. Lets listen to our heart. One Life….. Let’s ‘LIVE’ it!!
